The Mushroom Song is a fun, psychedelic mushroom fuelled journey through punk and garage rock, featuring spacey synth, organ, fuzzy guitar riffs and solos and swing time drums.

When writing the riff I had in mind the sound and feeling of Iggy and The Stooges (tracks like 1969, No Fun, Search And Destroy) and the ramshackle approach of The Stones (Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Midnight Rambler live).

The lyrics were inspired by a night where I thought someone asked me if I wanted some tea, but I realised after that they actually said mushroom tea. I like the wordplay in the first verse "ship-wrecked", "high price of living".
